Why does packaging always seem more like a task than it needs?
It can be a tedious task in and of itself, for sure, but a lot of accumulated stress is probably due to the anxiety of not really knowing what you will need when checking out where you want to go. (Is it time for everything? Is your baggage lost? Is it not your goal that your itinerary originally said you would fare?)
We put a lot of pressure on ourselves somehow, miraculously, it packs just exactly what we need – neither more nor less – and keeps things free of wrinkles in the process.
Here are some useful packing techniques to alleviate packaging problems due to poor efficiency and keep your clothes in good shape during travel.
The best ways to store your clothes
Think big, then edit
Gather all the pieces of clothing that you expect to be necessary and then place them on the back. Select clothes from the same family of cores, packing more tops than you fit. For a five-day trip, you will probably need five shirts, two pairs of leggings, or jeans, and a jacket, says Kathleen Ameche, author of The Woman Road Warrior (US $ 15, amazon.com). The average baggage of 22 bags fits approximately two pairs of jeans, three blouses, two dresses and five shirts.

Packaging of wrinkle-resistant fabrics
Be sure to pick out bad clothes and cotton, because these fabrics tend to resist roughness and wear (some pieces of clothing can be doubled, like yoga pants that look like pajamas).
Rolling and folding items
Using a little of each packing technique is the most efficient way to place items in your bag. Roll on tougher clothes and fold tougher ones. Underwear, t-shirts, jeans, cotton leggings and underwear do not wrinkle when forcibly enrolled, says Judy Gilford, author of The Packing Book (US $ 13, amazon.com). More rigid fabrics, such as rubberized cotton shirts, blazers, dressy pants and skirts, must be carefully folded.
Organize your clothes carefully
Place your unused and unopened items on the wrong side first. Next, see your folded clothes: for the middle layer, start with the longest items, like pretty shirts and shoes. Put the clothes on top of each other, alternating the waists with the swimsuits. Place them without compressing them, leaving excess fabric on the opposite end. (Isso economiza espaço, because the cos grossas will not be stacked on top of the others.) Enrole the points of the pile in the center. Next, place shorter items, such as shirts, on the folds with the ends on the ends. Double the tails and the extremities once and double the arms. Finally, the serpentine belts around the perimeter of the bag, so that it takes up the minimum possible space (and add another layer of aconchego nessas three layers).
Cover the pile with a dry cleaning bag.
Because of the dry wash bag's slippery surface, folded clothes should not be left in the same place long enough for the ties to adjust. Easy updating: Place a bag between each layer of clothing. To easily pick up a certain litter, just push the ends of the bag on both sides.
Place the clothes you need first on top
It can be anything from a dress to a bathrobe to pajamas, depending on where you are, what time you check in, and what time you check out.

How to pack shoes
Follow the rule of three
Consider a sandal or casual moccasin, tennis shoes and a night shoe to be your holy trindade. “Because of their shapes and jumps, the shoes take up more space,” says Marybeth Bond, author of 50 Best Girlfriends Getaways (US $ 16, amazon.com). Use the other two to be heavier, more voluminous and lighter.
Make sure your shoes do some work
Depending on the cleanliness of two shoes, they are equipped with other items, such as glasses, sun shades and electronic chargers, says Anita Dunham-Potter, columnist for Cruzeiros do MSNBC.com. Isso will end up creating a little bit of space here and there.
Place the shoes in single-size airtight bags.
Then place them on the side of the bag, says Gilford. This will prevent you from holding the germs in your shoes in clean clothes.
How to pack personal hygiene items and beauty products
Opt for multitasking in travel size
Apply a colorful moisturizer to serve as a base, then apply a shampoo and clean my face. (If you are traveling with personal baggage, check the current regulations for liquids on tsa.gov.)
Fill empty bottles with your favorite brands (but not above)
Evelyn Hannon, creator of journeywoman.com, a travel advice site, swears by a 10cm by 15cm Dopp kit that contains some travel-sized transparent containers for lotions, contact lens solutions, and the like. Fill three rooms completely. “The armament department of an aircraft is not pressurized, so the items need to be transported,” says Bond, who learned the best way when a Pepto-Bismol sample exploded all over his clothes.

Designate a bag for cosmetics, one for hair products, one for skin-related items. Place the mala on the side edges of your mala or in an external bag with a zipper.
How to pack jewelry
Pack cheap parts in a seven-day plastic casemate
Store them in a 35 millimeter film container, lined with food. If you need precious jewelry, wear it during your trips to reduce the risk of loss or robbery, suggests Gilford.
How to pack broken or broken objects
Use clothes as pre-enchimento
Enrole fragile items in thick and resistant clothing. Place them in the center of things, surrounded by a cushion, says Laura McHolm, co-founder of NorthStar Moving, a company based in Los Angeles that relocates 5,000 people (and their precious china) every year. If you are carrying jugs of alcoholic beverages, place them in the lower center part of your bag.
How to take your clothes
Shrink It
Jessica Ellis, a graphic designer who travels between New York City and Chicago every two weeks, packs clothes in the bags of the Eagle Creek Pack-It Compressor (US $ 40 for two, rei.com). “Date with zipper and the 80% volume strip.” Warning: There may be ruinous consequences. Therefore, these clothes no longer need to be washed, laid flat and placed between them. Consider your fresh clothing and a boas-vindas present at home.
