Travel logistics for Paris
Book your flights and hotels in Paris
From London, the Eurostar train service generally makes sense, because it is fast, efficient and available to you in the city centre.

For places other than London, fly to your preferred destination. Paris receives a large number of visitors daily and has more than 40,000 hotel rooms. For this reason, it is generally best to use a flight and hotel comparison and booking mechanism, such as JustFly.com. You can configure relevant filters and email alerts for price changes before making a reservation, in addition to searching for installations and bathrooms.

Check ParisInfo.fr for the latest information on how to find and get to know the city. As such, you must help:

Paris by plane

The simplest way to travel from the airport is by taxi, but the traffic can catch the planes. From Orly to the city, it is about 25 euros and from Gaulle, about 50 euros. However, rates increase 30% from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and there is a tax of 1.5 euro for each night.

Train – RER B

The most popular alternative is to take the RER B train from Charles de Gaulle to Gare du Nord and connect from there. Services are also available at Châtelet les Halles, St Michel / Nôtre Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert-Rochereau and Cité Universitaire.

There are several bus options directly from Charles de Gaulle. The lines depart every twenty minutes, at 5h30 at night, and we can take them directly to the Gare du Nord, Chatelet Les Halles and Luxembourg stations.

From Orly, a transfer can take you to the train station, which runs every 15 minutes, between 5:30 and 23:00, for the Gare d'Austerlits, St Michel / Notre Dame and Invalides stations.

From CDG, you can also purchase a bus line called Roissy Bus for the city for eight euros. It leaves a metro station, which also has a taxi service in the vicinity.

Paris by Trem
As the airports are long in the city, it is generally quicker and easier to travel to Paris by train.

Paris has six different main stations, so pay attention to who you are booking!

If you go to Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, southern Germany and eastern France, normally it is to Gare de l'Est.

For Spain, Portugal and the southwest of France, Gare d'Austerlitz.

From there to Switzerland, Italy and Greece, as in the southeast of France: Gare de Lyon.

Gare Montparnasse goes to the west of France, Chartres and Britain, while Gare St Lazare goes to the northwest of France, Normandy and Havre.

The Gare du Nord stops in Belgium, Holland, Scandinavia, Poland, Russia, northern Germany and the United Kingdom. The Eurostar trains that go from there to London in 3 hours via the Chunnel also use this station.

How to get around in Paris

The ticket also works with Paris city buses, buses, RER trains (zones 1, 2) and the Montmartre cable car.

2019 Prices are:
Single ticket – 1.80 euro
Book of Ten – 14.10 euro
Weekly pass – 21.25 euros

Paris by bike
There are also bicycle stations throughout the city to store and store bicycles. You can find a bicycle for a day for 1.7 euros or 8 euros for a week.
